I hope everyone has an amazing day! I’m pretty busy today we are packing for a trip and preparing for tonight. What is everyone’s plans for today? We usually grill out and then go to watch the fireworks with my whole family, But today my brother works until 11 p.m. and my sister works until 9 p.m. so I’ll be with my parents. Either way we will make the best of it.
This is the best place to take your kids during the summer! They have an indoor and outdoor area’s. Their are also many lifeguards around to make you comfortable about your kids swimming.
So we started the day with surprising the kid’s about the plans for the day so my sister Brittney and I took the kid’s to Chik-fil-a for lunch. We weren’t feeling chicken so we picked up Chipotle for ourselves and just brought it in.
Then after the kid’s were done eating we let them play in the play area for a little bit. Then we let them know we had a surprise for them. I drove there and their eyes lit up when they saw the building. They knew exactly where we were going.
We got inside and paid for a day pass and went to the locker room to get changed. We immediately went outside to the kid’s area where there is two slides and little spray toys, the water is shallow so its perfect for smaller kids. We were out there for a few hours enjoying the sun and lazy river.
Kid’s Area with the 2 small slides.
We then decided to take a break from the heat to go into the inside pool. Which Jason loves because he is finally tall enough to go on the Big Green Slide as he calls it. He went on it about 10 times then he took a break and we all decided on going to relax in the Hot Tub.
Lily in the Hot Tub
But not even 10 minutes later he was off again asking Tia Brittney to please go on the slide with him which she did. They went quite a few times more than I could count! Lily and I were hanging out at the kids area inside which is a small red slide and some spray toys for them she loves that area because she said the slide is faster than the smaller ones outside.
We stayed inside for a little while swimming and going in the lazy river inside. Then Lily say’s “Mom I want to go the Splash Pad!” So we went and played back outside. I pretty much let the kids lead the day to whatever they wanted to do. It was coming close up to closing time so my sister broke off from the group. She really wanted to go down the blue slide outside It’s her favorite she went a few times and then we headed out for the day.

Outdoor Slides
We will definitely be back the kids love it here! I may even try to convince my husband to buy a season pass for the family.

Today is day 2 of the July Ultimate Blog Challenge and I just wanted to share our favorite place to eat. It’s a little restaurant that is in Fort Worth Texas. It has the freshest food and it is so good! If you love Vietnamese food i highly recommend going here.
We always come here for date night or on cold rainy days we love to eat the Pho. But today we were feeling the Grilled Pork Vermicelli.
Grilled Pork Vermicelli which is pork marinated with fresh lemongrass and vermicelli noodles It also has pickled carrots, cucumbers, lettuce and bean sprouts topped with a little but of cilantro, peanuts and fish sauce.
David was ready to dig in!
They have many good dishes here we’ve tried so many things and we love it all. But our go to’s are definitely Pho or Vermicelli bowls. We usually get egg rolls too which are the best in town I’ll have to do another post to show you picture of them.
Huge bowl of food you have to come hungry when you go here!
We also love the Boba Drinks here. My favorite one is Strawberry Avalanche with boba and mango stars. It tastes like a Strawberry smoothie with white chocolate.
The seal it with cute tops.
So I highly recommend going here they have 2 locations both are great.
What is your favorite Vietnamese food? Please leave it in the comments below.
Our kiddos headed to Oklahoma with their Mimi for the weekend to visit their papa and Aunt Sue and Uncle Jr. They go every few weeks to visit and possibly go to the Zoo and Museum. We definitely miss them when they do go. But that means we get some kid free time and date night or day.
Hubby excited about eating Olive Garden
So today we went to Olive Garden for lunch and had a wonderful time! We both had our unlimited breadsticks and zuppa toscana soup to start.
I ordered the Buy 1 Take 1 meal. Which is off a certain menu but it’s like 2 meals in one for 12.99 so I’ll take that steal! I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo but I added grilled chicken and brocolli which is my favorite ! David orderd the Tour of Italy Which was plenty of food even for leftovers.
The food was absolutely fantastic and everything was so fresh, we even got a dessert to share which was the Black Tie Mousse Cake, David’s favorite.
I highly recommend going to this location they have great service and the food is tasty.Thank you for reading!-Alyssa
Earlier in the week Glenda had invited us out to Rudy’s Country Store for diner as there was a Chiropractic doctor offering everyone dinner if they would come and listen to him talk about his services.
My whole family had planned on attending the dinner but David ended up not feeling well and said he was going to stay home. I asked the kids to get ready but they decided to stay with David. This left me time with Debbie and my Aunts family.
We arrived a little later than I planned on and the room was full when we arrived. But Glenda and Charlie had saved us seats. I enjoyed listening to the Doctor talk and the special he offered everyone.
One day I may check out his services and I may bring Lily with me because she has a knot on her back that is getting bigger. Debbie also enjoyed his talk and I believe she may check out his services as well.
I also believe Glenda and her family may check out his services. For those that don’t know Glenda is starting to develop Carpal Tunnel Syndrome from always being on the computer.
Once he finished talking we had dinner. There was Pulled Pork, Brisket, and Sausage. Beans, Coleslaw and Potato Salad and White Bread. With Iced Tea or Water to drink. Everything we had was tasty and I can’t to bring David an the kids to Rudy’s Country Store for Dinner.
Glenda and her family are always attending events in Dallas/ Fort Worth courtesy of her blog. I don’t see how Glenda does all she does and still makes time for her family. Other than she never sleeps which is how she’s able to go on all these amazing adventures.
The other night when we attended Kid Mania Blogging Night Debbie thought we might be able to help Glenda. She has become so busy she has been having trouble keeping up with everything she needs to do. Debbie talked to Glenda and before I knew what was happening I had a blog. I just need to figure out what I should be doing. Which I am finding out is Baby steps and one thing at a time. I’ve gotten my Facebook page set up. and Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. I have the first item I will be reviewing. I need followers so I would like to ask you to check out my blog and Social Media sites.
We were asked to dress in Black and White which made the Premier even more exciting. When I arrived and walked in I was amazed at the Toy Story display and also Pets 2. I can’t wait to bring my family back not only to see these movies to play in the Play Are and to try the food.
After arriving and getting our tickets Glenda showed me all the Disney Vintage Posters hanging on the walls. We ventured into Vetted Well and ordered a drink and made our way to our table.
I must tell you we weren’t going to go hungry because waiters kept coming by with samples of food. I had Fried Pickles, Pizza and Chicken Strips and could have had other samples but got full.
We ventured into the Restrooms and I was amazed at how well lite they were. The restrooms were sparkling clean. I liked how big they was and how many sinks they had. I also liked seeing a Family Restroom which my friends with little babies could use.
Lily’s Birthday is next month and I found out I could host a Birthday party here and the kids would have plenty to do. They could watch a movie and when it’s finished go out to the Play Area and play Jinga.
Once we walked into the theater I was amazed at how spacious it was. The seats was so comfortable all I needed was a blanket and pillow then I could have taken a nap because it was nice and cool. The perfect way to sleep.
The waitress came and explained how I would order if I wanted to order food or drinks. Which I didn’t need to do because Alamo DraftHouse had water for everyone to drink. Along with napkins and a menu.
If the kids were with me I would order each of themCookies and a Glass of Milk. Along with Vanilla Ice cream for a special treat. For me I can’t wait to try out thePOPCORN with Real Clarified Butter (720 cal) Upon Request.
2D MEN IN BLACK: INTERNATIONAL begin and I found myself lost in the plot. I laughed and felt like the movie was coming right at me at times. I feel in love with the characters and wanted to bring them home with me.
I can’t wait to bring my family back to see2D MEN IN BLACK: INTERNATIONALalthough I’m sure this will be a movie we will purchase for our in home library. Although, the kids will want to see Toy Story and Pets 2 and with the Summer Kids Camp and also $1, $2, $3 kids movies you can bet we’ll be spending a lot of time at Alamo DraftHouse.
Last week my sister had set up another Blogger Event. We went toKid Mania in Alliance in Fort Worth. Alyssa and David had taken Lily and Jason toKid Mania in the past.
Alyssa, mentioned Kid Mania to Glenda and let her know Charlie and his friends would enjoy climbing through the Tunnels. Glenda thought about it for a while then she contacted Kid Mania and they allowed us to come out to check out the attractions.
Each family was given free admittance to Kid Mania in exchange for a post on there Social Sites but the thoughts in this review is mine and mine alone. Although, Alyssa may come and share her thoughts as well.
Or you can check out Glenda’s post here. Glenda brought Charlie, Kyle and Aiden and we didn’t see the boys the entire night because they were to busy climbing in theMaze Mania or playing upstairs in the Arcade Mania.
The only time we saw the boys were when they stopped to order a Pizza from the Kid Mania Cafe they shared. Or to come and get a glass of Water Kid Mania provided for us. All the boys enjoyed the Pizza and even had money left over to purchase candy.
I had worked all that day and were tired or I would have climbed in the Maze Maniawith Lily and Jason. There were rides the kids could have rode but neither Lily or Jason asked to because they was so busy in the Maze Mania.
There is a Toddler are which is perfect for Lily but she didn’t want to try it out because she thinks she is as big and as Jason. Lily says she can do anything Jason does andshe tries. I must say Lily succeeded the other night.
I looked at the Prize Counter and I was surprised at the variety of prizes Kid Mania offers for both adults and children. The prizes made me want to go upstairs and play in the Arcade Mania. Which I didn’t do because I was having more fun visiting with my family.
We sat in theAdult Area and chatted so the kids could find us at any time. Although the next time we go I plan on going upstairs to the Adult Area and trying out the Massage Chair.
Lily’sBirthday is next month andKid Mania would be the perfect place to host a Birthday Party because Kid Mania does all the work for us. I like knowing Kid Mania rewards children forGood Grades. Jason will be going to Kindergarten next year. If Jason has good grades we can bring his report card toKid Mania and they will give him a $5 Video Game Card.
If you aren’t near the Alliance Kid Mania has two other locations. There in Planoand Lewisville. For my family we are close to all three locations. I can’t wait until we are able to check them out.
I believe my sister will be hosting another Blogger Night at this Kid Mania next month. If you would like to meet Bloggers or are a Blogger or a Homeschooling Family we would like to invite you to join us at our Kid Mania Blogger Night.
I wanted to share a event I was able to attend with Glenda. I would like to let you know Glenda is my husband’s Aunt and you may have heard before she is the owner of TheMommiesReviews.com
Glenda, invited my sister Brittney and I toPerot Museum for Summer Family Media Day for the screening ofSuperPower Dogs 3D in the Hogland Theater. I was excited because I hadn’t been to the Perot Museum before.
When we arrived Lily and Jason were able to play outside with Charlie on the frogs.Charlie mentioned Musical Instruments Lily and Jason would be able to check out as well but we didn’t see them.
We went inside and checked in and were escorted to the Hogland Theater. As we walked in we picked up Puppy Chow snacks. We found our seats and listened to the speaker talk to us.
After we left the Hogland Theater we walked by Cafe andGift Shop. We went on to The Art of the Brick a Lego display. I loved seeing all the creations they were able to create out of Legos.
Lily and Jason had a lot of fun playing in the Lego displays. They were able to create a lot of homes. Charlie even played with them. When I could I did as well. Brittney even had fun and played with the kids.
We walked over to the Sport Hall and Charlie and Jason got into line so they could race against different animals. Lily watched them and then she decided she would run with them.
Once they were done we headed to the Cafe for lunch. I was amazed at all the selections they had. I can’t wait to bring David back here for lunch. We all enjoyed our lunches and being able to sit outside and eat was fun.
Once we finished eating we went back inside to the Children’s Museum. The kids headed right to the truck they could pretend to drive. Then off to the water table they went. Lily found flowers and ended up playing with them.
While Charlie and David went into the City. Jason went to the Camp ground and then to the store to get groceries. Once they were done playing we headed outside and the kids played in the sand.
Brittney and I went on to examine the Exhibits on the other floors while Glenda and Charlie watched Lily and Jason. I loved the LYDA HILL GEMS AND MINERALS HALL. We could have stayed there all day long.
I wish we had had time to take Jason to theT. BOONE PICKENS LIFE THEN AND NOW HALL. I know Jason would have enjoyed seeing the Dinosaurs. Brittney and I had a lot of fun trying out the exhibits that were interactive.
I can’t wait to return to the Perot Museum. Brittney wants to bring our family out to the Perot Museum. We’ve talked about coming to the Adult only events or bringing the kids back to spend the night.
If you haven’t been to the Perot Museum I hope you take the time to visit it soon. As well as check out Glenda’s post here.
Another event my Aunt Glenda hosted was at iFly in Hurts, Texas. I believe it would be fun to try out iFly once but David had been in the past and wasn’t sure we should take Lily or Jason so we didn’t attend the event.
But I know I have a lot of friends and family who would be interested in checking out iFly. The funny part was my mother in law Debbie attended the event and now, she would like to return and Fly.
Debbie didn’t the night she was there because she had just finished eating Pizza they had served the Bloggers who had attended the event. I must tell you that Pizza looked yummy and I liked the color of the decorations they used.
Charlie who is afraid of heights flew that night and has said he would like to come back and try out the High Fly which surprised his parents. After seeing small children fly I might take Lily and Jason because.
