The Angry Birds 2

The Angry Birds 2 movie is coming out and let me tell you my son is so excited he wont stop asking David to take him. So when I told them I was blessed with tickets I let them know it would be the perfect father and son time. They will be going to see it Alamo Drafthouse in Lake Highlands. They have never been to that theater before so it’ll be fun showing them all the cool posters and the games they have outside.

Lily and I will have a girls day that day but before the movie starts we were going to show up early and have some family time playing with the Jenga set and corn hole. Also having a few drinks at the bar, soda for me since I’ll be driving but David can relax and have a few Jack and Cokes. I can’t wait for him to tell me all about it.

Take your Frenemies!

Ever since Angry bird Red saved his island from even-angrier pigs, the two species have lived in an uneasy peace, with the pigs constantly vowing revenge.

But when strange birds from a new island threaten fowl and swine alike, they’re forced to put aside their differences. This unlikely team of frenemies will have to sneak into hostile territory to destroy a nefarious weapon, and hopefully avoid destroying one another in the process.

THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 2 brings the madcap chaos and destruction of The ANGRY BIRDS franchise to a brand-new story that sees mortal enemies uniting for the first time.
This colorful adventure will take the pigs and birds to all-new places, and have them doing things they never thought they’d do. I can’t wait to see what Charlie and David think of THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE 2.

John Leguizamo – Latin History for Morons

The Dallas Opera sign.

Glenda and I attended the Latin History for Morons comedy show. When we got there we parked in the Lexus parking area in the garage then we went in the Winspear Opera House, AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas.

Glenda
Me

When we walked in and very clean and the staff was very nice and attentive to the questions we had asked. We decided to get a drink before the show and they came in these cute cups and the pricing was reasonable for the drinks and snacks.

Alcohol and pricing.
Snacks options

We were on our way to go find our seats when i saw this photo op with a background. I liked how it was free and at first I thought it was just a picture. But to my surprise it made our motions into a gif. I really enjoyed that plus it was a great memory to keep since you can send it to your email or phone number.

Screenshot of the Gif.

But now to the Comedy show it I loved how he went in depth about the History of Latin Americans and mixed in with his comedy skit. It really opened my eyes to alot going around throughout time and made me want to look up the books he was suggesting. Don’t get me wrong this was in fact a hilarious comedy show. I enjoyed every minute of it and he had me belly laughing the whole time. Also a different side like you were learning about things you had no idea were going on.

Stage.
Beautiful lighting that went into the ceiling when the show was starting.

So after the show was done they announced that if you buy his book he would sign it for free and I couldn’t pass up that opportunity because I love the movies he’s been in that I had seen as a child. Plus I was going to surprise David with the book for his Birthday which is August 12th. Because he was really sad he wasn’t able to go to the show. But i assured him next time we will go together. I really wish I had asked him to put Happy Birthday inside the book, but I froze up and I was literally in awe when I met him. He was super nice and shook my hand and let me take a picture with him. Glenda was able to meet him as well and she was excited about it.

His book.
The picture I will cherish forever!
John’s Signature.

I would like to come back here to see Robin Thicke he is a highly talented singer and he will be at the Opera House on August 24, 2019. Check out their upcoming events and let me know what you would most like to see.

A Little Night Music

Frisco Discovery Center.

I was invited by my Aunt Glenda Cates and Debbie my mother in law joined us and my husband was supposed to come as well but he wasn’t feeling well, so I asked Glenda if I could invite my mom which she said yes of course. When I asked my mom she was so excited! She had never been to anything like this before. I was so happy that it turned out to be a Girl’s Night out.

Glenda and Debbie.
My mom and I.

We decided to take a few pictures throughout the Frisco Discovery Center I really enjoyed looking at all the art on the walls that could be purchased. Also I really want to check out the Video Game Museum I grabbed some information on it for next time. We also glanced at what we could see and I really want to go inside that area and check out the history of games. Since I have been playing games since I was 4 years old.

Sneek peek into The Video Game Museum.

We also want to go back to take Jason and Lily to see the Train Topia, I’m not all sure what that entails but the kids adore trains!

Lily and Jason would love this.

We then stopped to get some snacks and drinks. I totally forgot my cash! I’m glad my Aunt had some cash so we could purchase a drink and some snacks. We went to find our seats and I was impressed about how big The Black Box Theater was and the temperature was comfortable for me. But I like it cold so you should take that inconsideration when you decide to go. To bring a jacket or blanket. Which they do offer blankets before you go inside. They informed you in the beginning to read the program because it gives you more information about the play so you’re not confused about what is happening.

Black Box Theater.
He was telling us to read the program first.
The set.

I loved how the story was filled with drama, infidelity, and jealousy. The actors and actresses singing was amazing it gave me chills! We were so into the story we didn’t even want an admission. But it helped us stretch our legs and talk about how good the story was getting. The theater was super nice I loved the set up and my favorite thing on stage was definitely the Gazebo it was pretty.

I can’t wait to return to Theater Frsico  for a mom and daughter date or even bring my siblings because they enjoy music and singing as much as my mom and I. I may even get my husband to come with to see what its all about for a Date Night.

If you haven’t seen A Little Night Music you definitely should there is just so much put in this play and the passion alone is amazing.

A Little Night Music | Showing July 26 – August 11

Winner of four Tony Awards, this is a musical work that has forever entranced the world of theatre. Set in 1900 Sweden, A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress, Desirée Armfeldt, and the men who love her: a lawyer by the name of Fredrik Egerman and the Count Carl-Magnus Malcom.

When the traveling actress performs in Fredrik’s town, the estranged lovers’ passion rekindles. This strikes a flurry of jealousy and suspicion between Desirée; Fredrik; Fredrick’s wife, Anne; Desirée’s current lover, the Count; and the Count’s wife, Charlotte. This classic musical features the beloved song, “Send in the Clowns”.

A Little Night Music

I can’t wait to attend tonight’s show. I’ve never been to anything like this before but I’m happy I get to share it with my Mom, my mother in law Debbie and highly grateful to my Aunt Glenda (https://www.themommiesreviews.com/a-little-night-music/) for inviting us to such a cool event. I can’t wait for us to have the perfect Girl’s Night out. Hope I see some of my followers there. Have a great weekend!

Ultimate Blog Challenge Day 15 – Birthday Fun

So it was my birthday on July 23rd and I’m officially 28 years old I feel pretty old. Mostly because I’m tired most of the time and always on the go. But today was my day to relax and take it easy and I still did chores haha. Because I didn’t want stuff piling up for the following day.

So after my husband got off work we went to Mc Donald’s and got the kids some Happy Meals for dinner because I wanted to take it easy since they were staying home with their Mimi so I was making it easier for her for the nighttime routine.

Google photo

So we got dressed and we already planned the night. I love pizza it is my favorite food. So I got super excited because Old Chicago Pizza sent me an email from their rewards program which i joined up for free 2 years ago. But it was for a Free Pizza! On my birthday I get my favorite food and Its free that’s the best birthday present ever!

Well back to the night we went to Old Chicago and they were having Trivia Night I had no clue they had even done that. Me and David were intrigued and listened to the questions and answered them quietly to each other, because shouting the answers is against the rules.

My Wonderful Forever Date.

But we got most of them correct we were surprised because we had never done Trivia games like that before so we definitely want to go again to join in fun and eat some good pizza.

Look at this awesome Pizza! Hot and Fresh.
Parmesan and Red Chili Flakes and side of their awesome ranch.

We ordered the medium deep dish pizza and split it. I got one side The Classic and he got the Meat Me. The food was hot and delicious! We paired it with the special alcoholic drink of the night which was the OC Iced Tea which was so fruity and refreshing.

OC Iced Tea

I also like to ask for free samples of their beer on tap which you can have 4 samples per visit, It’s also because I’m not a big beer drinker but I love trying them to see if there is anything I would like to order which there has been 3 so far that I found out I enjoy. Which included these

STELLA ARTOIS (STELLA ARTOIS)Pale Lager
STONE TROPIC OF THUNDER (CALIFORNIA)Pale Lager
AMERICAN BEAUTY (2019) (DOGFISH HEAD CRAFT BREWERY)Pale Ale
Beer Samples

If you would like to look up their food or drinks here is the link and sign up for their rewards program because it is worth it!
